What are Golden Tai Chi and Qi Gong?

Tai Chi and Chinese Qi Gong are ancient forms of exercise that focus on breathing, fluid movements and body posture. Practicing these exercises bring about numerous benefits to the body, mind, and spirit.  Tai Chi and Qi Gong support flexibility, balance, and coordination, which are essential to a healthy body, particularly as we age. When practiced regularly, these forms of exercise help to keep muscles and joints in good condition and reduce the risk of falls and other injuries.  Internally, these “moving meditation” arts help reduce stress and anxiety, and help nurture emotional well-being. The slow, fluid movements and deep breathing in Tai Chi and Qi Gong exercise help to calm the mind, to bring peace and relaxation. Tai Chi and Qi Gong are also widely known to help alleviate symptoms of various chronic health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and arthritis. These exercises are gentle and low-impact, making them ideal for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Come join us for Golden Tai Chi and Qi Gong to start on your path to internal well-being!

The Ancient Arts of Internal and External Balance and Health

Golden Tai Chi & Golden Qi Gong classes are rooted in the practices of traditional Yang Tai Chi and Chinese Qi Gong.  Tai Qi Quan has, for centuries, been a movement art that is proven to improve all aspects of internal and external health.  Our classes, taught by Tai Qi Instructor Reiko Aoo and Sifu Jonny Blu, are meant to teach you skills that will enhance and improve your breathing, posture, balance and ability to maintain your health, inside and out.

Qi Gong, often referred to as “Chinese Yoga” and literally translated as “Energy Work”,  is an ancient Chinese internal art that focuses on breathing and balanced movement of energy throughout your body to create internal stability of your organs and blood flow.  Qi Gong teaches you how to heal, mend, fix and stabilize from the inside out, using a series of simple body movements, breathing exercises and creative visualizations. You will learn to connect your “Movement to Breath to Energy” Trinity of self awareness.  It is truly a balm for the senses.

Classes are for adults ages 18 and older.

It’s time to re-structure, re-focus and re-build from the inside out!
